The workforce in the UK is changing fast and you need to act now to unlock the opportunities of multigeneration teams. By 2020 1 in 3 workers will be over 50¹，英国所有成年人的2030年将超过50岁²。  Understanding the challenges and opportunities of an ageing population is vital if we all want to create productive, innovative and inclusive multi-generational teams as we all lead longer working lives.

Under the key strands of retention, retraining and recruitment, Age at Work will work with employers to develop a more age-inclusive workplace and understand the benefits of an intergenerational workforce. It will also support older workers (aged 50 plus) who want to remain in work. It highlights the need to begin preparation for work in later life and retirement at an earlier stage. Business class

Business Classis a tried and tested programme developed by Business in the Community (BITC). It creates effective and mutually beneficial school-businesses partnerships. Partnerships are based firmly on the needs of schools and the priorities of businesses and transform the life chances of young people and develop talented employees for the future.

At a time of rising employment, employers are seeking skilled staff with the right attitude and attributes to support their growing businesses – and every year in Wales, veterans are leaving the Armed Forces with exactly this mix.

Volunteering

Volunteering is one of the most powerful ways businesses can support communities across Wales. In addition to personal and professional skills development, volunteering can also have a positive impact on wellbeing and mental health. Our employee volunteering opportunities are focused on several themes including education, engaging young people, tackling unemployment and developing enterprise and employability skills.

Business in the Community (BITC) Cymru works with your business directly to develop a structured programme, appropriate to your business needs and priorities. Some of the employee volunteering opportunities available through BITC Cymru include:

literacy and numeracy partnerships in primary schools
