James Robey

Vice President, Global Head of Environmental Sustainability,
Capgemini

Environment Leadership Team

James has been driving the sustainability agenda at Capgemini since 2008, initially for Capgemini UK and since January 2011 globally. Bringing together the local sustainability leaders from across the group, James broadened Capgemini’s traditional community focus into a wide-ranging programme covering environmental sustainability, community engagement and diversity and inclusion.

During his 20-year career at Capgemini, James has held a number of roles, primarily in business development and programme management. He has led the roll-out of a UK Leadership Development Academy. James has continued this focus in his current role by rotating employees from across the business through the sustainability programme.

James brings an academic flavour to his work, holding a degree in economics and mathematics, a masters degree in development economics, and an MBA. He completed his doctorate with Henley Business School investigating the drivers and outcomes of corporate sustainability. James lectures regularly on MBA programmes throughout the UK, and holds positions as visiting faculty at Imperial College, London and Henley Business School. Increasingly, James is being asked to present at both academic and industry conferences and comment in the media.
