Race Equality Leadership Team

Kevin became the Director General of the International Government Service and Digital Envoy for the UK in August 2019.

Kevin was the Director General of the Government Digital Service from August 2016 to July 2019.

Kevin joined the BITC Race Leadership Team to work more closely with BITC to identify opportunities to increase engagement and commitment to the Race Equality Campaign across government and share the best practice and solutions being created by staff networks he is working with.

Between 2013 and 2016, Kevin was Director General of Business Transformation at DWP. Here, Kevin had responsibility for designing and delivering a user-centred, diverse, and efficient department and enabling a step-change in DWP’s culture to get there. Key to this was the adoption of new ways of working through agile development using multi-disciplinary teams and the creation of DWP’s Transformation Hubs.

Before joining government, Kevin worked in the telecommunications sector with T-Mobile, and most recently as the global head of Online at Vodafone, covering the development and acceleration of all of Vodafone Group’s online activities across the 20 national operating companies.
